Fridays are quickly becoming my favorite day of the week. In Mimizan, there is a weekly market every Friday in the bourg. Since T started going to the elementary school farthest from the house (somehow three different primary schools exist in a city with a population just under 7,000) I’ve started to frequent the market. I’ve even made Fridays my rest day from the gym (mainly so I can get downtown with enough time to find parking before I need to pick up T). This morning, I started my day with my first haircut since the big chop of 2021. I heavily debated chopping the hair off again but I’m attempting to let it grow back to the length I used to love it at. After losing a few inches of my hair, I made my way to Mimizan bourg, parking in front of what I realized was a charity shop I had no idea existed. This discovery led to the acquisition of a new sweater and light outer-shirt for only 4 euro (I love a good deal!!!!!!!) and what I’m guessing will be a bit of resentment from future Natasha when she needs to pack for her move back to the States with an impossible belongings to luggage ratio. Fair warning if any friends/family come to visit me….please leave room in your bags to take some of my stuff back with you!
