Hello all, I can’t believe it’s been almost three months since my last post. I had to look at my photos in order to see what I did with my time instead of posting so here’s a quick summary… The end of March was fairly uneventful, just working and preparing myself for T’s birthday. April was an exciting month for me, I started the month getting a tattoo (and my finger tat was touched up, yay!!). And then, a week later, I got four additional tattoos. I also was able to successfully order monthly contacts (all my previous attempts always resulted in a new month or daily contacts…sigh) I watched sunsets when time allowed, and I even caught a few sunrises. I started waking up before 8 am everyday, not sure why because I never set an alarm to start this trend. Of course, I read a ton. I took a trip to Biarritz (enfin!!) and had one of the best tacos of my whole life (I will now forever correlate Biarritz with that unforgettable taco). I saw a piece of driftwood that resembled a shark’s dorsal and caudal fin. I was able to start enjoying the warm weather more often. I ordered cute jean shorts from vinted (that actually fit!) along with a bandeau top that I’ve already gotten a ton of use out of. A friend came to visit for the weekend, and we had a blast. I started therapy. I took my first ever surf lesson (it was both easier and more challenging than I thought it would be, if that’s even possible). I met my host family in Paris and got to experience what babysitting is like in a big city (Milan doesn’t count in my mind because the kid I watched was a baby). I had a dental emergency that has still yet to be resolved. I successfully managed a week without my car (it was in the shop) and learned how much it sucks to not have a car here (although it did wonders for my step count). And I successfully sold a few things on vinted. Overall, this hiatus of posts was a very productive time for me. I am being more honest with myself and working towards removing energy sinks from my life, which is both painful and rewarding. I hope you all enjoyed the short update, sorry it mainly consisted of sentence fragments. In the coming weeks I plan to (hopefully) update more and sort out my plans for my return to the US. Here’s hoping I follow through!
