Hello all, long time no update…my bad. i feel like I start all posts in the same vein but I always mean it. Time gets away from me so quickly, but I’m going to do my best to actually update more often.
At the start of the year, I encountered some rockiness in work, and ended up leaving being a nanny to be a server. Let me tell you, it’s sooooo hard to get a job as a server with no experience. Luckily, I found a great boss that was willing to give me a chance in march. Everything worked out very well in timing and I was able to switch from nannying to serving fluidly. I also had planned a trip to visit a friend from college at the start of March which ended up being so needed. Simply put, switching jobs was so good for my stress levels. I have more free time now and friends at work which is so fun. I didn’t realize how much I was desiring having peers my age at work until I got them. I literally hadn’t had coworkers since 2021. This fall, I will Manage a cafe (contingent on contractors finishing the BUILD out)!!! Talking about it with my roomMate the other day made me realize that I will be working at the Type of cafe I’ve been missing since Rio COco cafe Circa 2020 (AKA the best spot I’ve ever studied) which made me feel like Im Manifesting correctly???!!!
Changing jobs is the simplest way to summarize my spring. Just sprinkle in some volleyball (which kept me grounded) and you get the picture. I also went to some cool concerts to help pass the time. And recently, have LEARNED mah-jong which has been TAKING up a lottttt of mental capacity. Another notable event was me going on a few dates (I have a goal of going on 12 before the year ends and I’m a little over halfway there). I’ve been keeping up with therapy which is always so helpful to me. Really, I’m just trying to be INTENTIONAL in how I spend my energy and enjoy my daily life as much as possible.
My next event I’m looking forward to is the friendly reunion! This year we’ll be in the mid-west which means that I’ll have a good reason to stop off and see friends and family in the area. I think I’ve mentioned it before, but I am fully in my chosen family era and so I cannot wait to see Them. And to explore a whole new state. This summer has been and will continue to be great.
That said, I’ve made it all summer without getting a tattoo! (Mostly because i want to be free to get in the pool all summer, even though it’s been so F***ing hot here) But this fall I’m ready to get my well-deserved new tattoo as a reward for my self control. Maybe that will be my next post? Thanks for reading.
